| Self introduction | In order to explore the group composition of the middle Jomon period, I am conducting research on the type of pit dwellings and the structures of the settlement. Based on the time setting, space, group area, and arrangement and movement of dwelling types in the village, I aim to elucidate the production of Jomon pottery, livelihood, spiritual world, and worldview , considering the formation, transition, and movement of groups seen in villages. |

| Message to students | In the field of archaeology, research begins with questioning everything that has been told by common sense. It is necessary to have an original perspective, observe the material with your own eyes, and re-examine the information. In addition, although it is hard to investigate archaeological sites, it is also a great pleasure to be able to witness the moment of historical discovery after many years. |
